Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Hailey Barzilay (ABN [to be added]) ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you book and attend our group rhythmic gymnastics classes through this website. We aim to handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

• Parent or guardian details: name, email address and mobile number.
• Participant details (about your child): first name, age and gymnastics experience.
• Safety information: an emergency contact (name and number) and any injuries, medical conditions or allergies you choose to tell us about. Health information is sensitive, so we only ask for what we need to run a safe class.
• Your consents: that you accepted our Terms, and whether you agree to photos or video being shared.
• Payment details: entered directly with Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We receive confirmation of payment, the amount and your receipt email.
• Website usage data (only if you accept cookies): pages visited, device and browser information, and how you arrived (for example from a Facebook or Instagram ad).

Information about children is provided by their parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.

Why we use it

• To process your booking and payment, and to run and keep your child safe in class.
• To contact you about your booking, cancellations (for example weather) and class updates.
• To contact you or an emergency contact if there is an incident.
• To keep records required for tax, insurance and legal purposes.
• With your consent, to measure and improve our website and advertising (analytics and marketing cookies).
• With your consent, to share photos or video of class on social media.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run the booking system. They process information on our behalf or, in some cases, for their own purposes under their own policies:

• Stripe for payments.
• Vercel for website hosting.
• Resend (or a similar email provider) to send booking notifications.
• WhatsApp (Meta) if you join our class updates group or message us. People in a WhatsApp group can see each other's names and numbers, so please only join if you're comfortable with that.
• Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, only if you accept the relevant cookies.

We do not sell your information. We do not send your child's name, age or any health information to Google or Meta. Their tools only receive the booking value, currency and package name.

Overseas disclosure

Several of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. By booking, you understand your information may be handled overseas by them. We take reasonable steps to choose providers with appropriate security.

Cookies and tracking

Essential storage is always used so checkout works and to remember your cookie choice. Analytics (Google Analytics) and marketing (Meta Pixel) only run if you choose to allow them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Blocking these will not stop you from booking.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and safety records only as long as needed to run classes and meet tax, insurance and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them. Payment records are also held by Stripe under its own retention rules.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information, including using HTTPS and keeping payment handling with Stripe. No online system is completely secure, so please let us know straight away if you suspect a problem.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access or correct the information we hold about you or your child, withdraw consent (for example for photos or marketing cookies), or ask us to delete information we no longer need.
